Multi-dimensional Evaluation
for Influence and Transformation
As the world gradually recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, new challenges with significant global impacts have arisen, including geopolitical conflicts that have reshaped alliances and displaced millions, disproportionately affecting women and children. These developments, alongside persistent issues like wealth inequity, climate change, and social exclusion, complicate development efforts and the quest for effective evaluation approaches and methods that can drive transformational change.
The IDEAS/IEO-NDB 2025 Conference, titled "Multi-dimensional Evaluation for Influence and Transformation", aims to foster multi-stakeholder dialogues on enhancing the role of evaluation in driving transformational change through collaborative thinking and promote evaluation practices that are both influential and transformative.
The Conference will be held in Rome (Italy), from March 4 to 6, 2025.
Conference strands
The conference will provide a forum for exploring the conference theme in plenary sessions with the participation of keynote speakers. A global and multi-actor dialogue is expected to take place through panels and round tables organized around the below-mentioned strands:
Strand 1 - Relevance and complexity of SDG evaluation
Strand 2 - Evaluation for transformational change at the nexus of climate, crisis and development
Strand 3 - Evaluation context and culture
Strand 4 - The interaction between gender, human rights and equity
Strand 5 - Developing capacity for evaluation
Strand 6 - Evaluation for sustainable development in the BRICS and other EMDCs
